I am presuming that almost everyone now knows that the Shop is for Sale, or Lease. There comes a time in each of our lives when it is the right or opportune moment to give up. Having had a hard working life so far, I think that the misses and I are still young enough to use the money we have amassed to go and enjoy ourselves. Perhaps to see a bit of the World further away than a couple of hours flying time from Manchester. Always wanted to visit Australia, maybe now is the time.
Problem, of course, may be in disposing of the business. Commercial property in the town is selling very slowly and still more are coming onto the market. Another Charity shop may be the answer, personally I dont care as long as the money flows in regularly. Would not be popular with the townsfolk but who cares? Or someone could just kerp on selling the same tat as I do. The present staff are very willing, and could move with the business. As in the past they can do all the work while management amused themselves in the back office, writing Blogs and Twittering away ten to the dozen.
At present we are willing to listen to any proposal regarding the Premises or the Business. Just want to get it off our hands and get away from the adjacent road. It will be awful not to see the family name emblazoned on the signboard but with all us Roberts around, who knows?
