HINDSIGHT . . . . .

Assurances on Tata future despite redundancies says Welsh Secretary

Welsh Secretary David Jones says he too has been in contact with Tata about the job losses. He says the company remains committed to the future of the Welsh steel industry.
It is very disappointing to hear that Tata Steel has had to make the decision to reduce its operational workforce at its Port Talbot site and my immediate concerns are with those employees and their families who may be potentially affected by redundancies.
Tata Steel has assured me that it is undertaking a robust consultation process with its staff and will continue to work very closely with the unions. It has also offered assurance that it is committed to sustaining the long-term future of its Port Talbot site in Wales against a global backdrop in recent years of shrinkage in the steel industry and intense global competition. Jobcentre Plus stands ready to support any employees potentially affected by today's announcement.

    A LITTLE REMINDER

Do you remember  the controversy regarding MP's Expenses?

    David Jones, Clwyd West.
Along  with £3,155 for stamp duty and legal fees, he claimed £112 for a Dyson vacuum cleaner in his London home and £119 for a trouser press. Ivory curtains from Heal’s were £356, while furniture from the shop was £387.

Oh. Almost forgot, there was also the question of another massive amount of over £80,000!
Couldn't get a duck pond in the flat apparently, or it could have been more.

    A JUST QUESTION....OR JUST A QUESTION

Sometimes in life one finds it neccessary to seek help from other than normal sources.  This can often need to resort to seeking assistance, advice and extra help from ones Member of Parliament.   The person who has his or her authority to call on all Public Services, have their finger on the pulse, and are capable of dealing with almost any situation.

However what does one do, and where can one go for help, when the problem is, or has been, caused by the Member of Parliament themselves?

    We leave you to ponder..........

    ONE PERSON'S VIEW, OR ......?

This is one person's view of local MP David Jones, but without really trying we can locate many more who will endorse the comments.

    Tory politicians at their worst.....

I don't believe that this world has many good honest politicians and on across the political spectrum there are always going to be those that abuse their status.

Here in North Wales we have the classic example of a corrupt, abusive politician, this man:

MP for Clwyd West, David Ian Jones,
take a bow sir, you are a liar, (you lied about not being an author to the troll blog 'Thoughts of Oscar' amongst other internet abuses), a cheat, (you tried to defraud the tax payers of £81,000,), an abuser, (you abused your position as Secretary Of State for Wales, you helped influence the outcome of crinimal trials, perhaps that's why Cameron sacked you? you supported your troll blog 'Thoughts of Oscar' and afforded it protection with the help of the then, chief superintendent Simon Humphreys, you accused innocent people of wrong doings, just to inconvenience their lives), you are an utter coward, (you do everything against those who stand up to you via anonymity or with the assistance of you Masonic mates and your connections at North Wales Police).

Not only are you the most contemptible creature I haver ever had the displeasure to interview, you are the stereo type Tory politician.

DEAR MR CAMERON . . . All I want for Xmas is a new MP

Yesterday, in error, part of a letter to the PM was posted on this Blog.   It should have been sent to the DRAFT  file where it is now being completed.

Briefly it concerned a complaint regarding the MP for Clwyd West, David Ian Jones, and his involvement with various Social Media sites, and his false and malicious accusations against a local family resulting in the utmost hurt and distress for them.   It also contains other complaints about his defamamatory comments regarding other locals, and his past history, such as the Expenses Claim scandal, where he had to repay a sum in excess of £80,000, and also other matters.

It is the opinion of many that he is not a fit person to represent any part of the Community in Parliament, and that he should be asked to resign forthwith.

It is no use writing to Mr Jones' office either in Colwyn Bay or Westminster as you are unlikely to get a reply.  He needs to go, and the sooner the better.

    A CONFESSION....OF SORTS

    The Blue Touchpaper19 September 2015 at 07:59
    • Even more to come. D Day is 1st. November,a massive start to Guy Fawkes celebrations.
      Bangers and Smash.

There has been lots of publicity recently about "blue touch paper", much of it just a lot of hot air, especially from NWP, an MP, an ex Newsagent, an ex Journalist and a Solicitor.  The simple explanation lies below.

Dear old me, Naughty Nigel is, as in the past, owning up to being the SOLE AUTHOR of the "blue touch paper" comment.  No one else is or was involved.   However, it was fun watching the reaction of the aforementioned MP et al, and the NWP running round like blue assed flies, the exercise must have done them good.  Just a shame that all the mistakes they made are going to cost them dear.   Maybe they won't be friends with me anymore!

to light the touch paper or or to light the blue touch paper

    Definitions

    1. (British) if someone lights the touch paper or lights the blue touch paper, they do something which causes anger or excitement   ⇒  example ■ This kind of remark is guaranteed to light the blue touch paper with some Conservative politicians.

Unlike my last Blog, there is no intention of bringing this one to a close, just because of one small (for me) article.

Still madly in love with my Beanie Babies who adorn my double bed at Sandcastles.

    CONTROVERSIES.....

Controversies ... DAVID JONES MPedit source | edit]

In 2013 it was reported that Jones took a chauffeur-driven Jaguar on a journey of about 100 metres.[14]
During an interview on ITV Wales Face to Face programme, discussing the recent Parliamentary vote on the Marriage (Same Sex Couples) Bill on 5 February, Jones said, "I was one of two cabinet ministers who did vote against it and it was for various reasons. Certainly in constituency terms, I felt that overwhelmingly the constituents of Clwyd West were opposed to the change. But also I regard marriage as an institution that has developed over many centuries, essentially for the provision of a warm and safe environment for the upbringing of children, which is clearly something that two same-sex partners can’t do. Which is not to say that I’m in any sense opposed to stable and committed same-sex partnerships".[15] The gay rights organisation Stonewall, which in 2010 had given Jones a score of 14% in favour of lesbian, gay and bisexual equality,[16] issued a statement expressing great sadness about his comments.[17]
In June 2014 David Jones was marred in further controversy when he refused to apologise[18][18] to a disabled ex-serviceman a liar and accused him of being a member of the Labour Party and brushed of the disabled ex-serviceman's plight as no more than a party political stunt causing great offence by this accusation.
Former Welsh Secretary David Jones was linked to the poison pen style blog Thoughts of Oscar[19], this was revealed during a house of commons speech into alleged collusion with North Wales Police and the anonymous blog authorship on 9 September 2014.[19][20]
Clwyd West MP causes more concern to animal rights activists by voting to repeal the hunting act of 2004.[20] Many constituents view hunting, especially fox hunting as barbaric.
A local blogge[21]r was accused of an electoral offence by David Jones, during the 2015 general election, potentially affecting Mr Jones' chance of re-election, but the CPS make the decision to take no action.
David Jones causes yet more concern in the community when he again falsly accused a local blogger of a section 4[22] harassment Offence, the blogger was arrested, detained and bailed, his home was raided and his disabled child's I pad and Xbox One were confiscated. The CPS advised North Wales Police to take no further action as this comment the blogger published was in no way threatening, as claimed by Jones:

SECRETARY OF STATE FOR WALES[EDIT SOURCE | EDIT]

On 4 September 2012, Jones was promoted to Secretary of State for Wales,[2] and he was in consequence appointed to the Privy Council on 10 September.
Jones stated his top priorities would be to promote economic growth and deliver major infrastructure projects including a new nuclear power station at the Wylfa site on Anglesey, upgrades to rail lines in North Wales and improvements to the M4 motorway and the A55, and exploiting the full economic potential of the Holyhead and Milford Haven Waterwayports.[23]
Ongoing issues with the Welsh Government include a Supreme Court challenge by Her Majesty's Government to legislation passed in the Welsh Assembly about local government byelaws[24] and the Welsh government's objection to a Wales Office consultation on changing the boundaries of assembly constituencies.
Jones has described the Welsh Government's planning guideline Tan 8 as "an atrocity".[25]
David Jones was sacked[26] from his position as Secretary of State for Wales in 2014, after less than two years in the job.
